Maybe I'm genetically elitist because home-brewed black coffee does not have any effect on me whatsoever, whereas a cup of some floopy chic drink at Starbucks or Espresso Royale will keep me awake and focused for hours.

This is why I blow so much money on coffee around finals, when I have a jar of perfectly good instant coffee sitting at home.

i don't drink the instant korean coffee + creamer i have at home because my mom thinks it's got melamine in it.

I think coffee elitists don't really have to worry about fucking up how much water they put in. And I think the patience to wait until it's hot but won't burn them is part of the elitism.

i bought my own coffeemaker like a semester into college cuz i couldn't stand the instant coffee or the coffee at the student center..

guess that makes me a coffee elitist... but I haven't gotten so bad as getting my own grinder/beans yet.

I don't think I have ever HAD instant coffee.
