the time traveler's wife- appreciate the significant other more
perks of being a wallflower- tells me not to try so hard
the picture of dorian gray- vanity sucks
the lovely bones- don't talk to strangers or your sister will grow up and have kids with no aunt
mostly these books are reminders to be appreciative of life, especially in a way that (most) movies can't. they force you to sit through a description of a scene or thought process. it slows time down.
anyway, that's just me.

the lovely bones - if you're smart about it, it's totally okay to murder children.
all of harry potter - being good with a broomstick between your legs is hot. it's even more hot if you're good with balls and a broomstick. also hot is being able to play with balls and a broomstick with a bunch of friends and strangers at the same time while your entire school, including your teachers, watch. 150 points if you can put one in your mouth.
