I remember last October and do not find the month starting auspiciously. My advice to the citizens is to bear in mind that nothing endures here but the City itself. Not even the curses.

Nothing in the City is permanent during curses, so why worry? Even if we die, it's not a problem.

I do share that opinion, but trying to get many of the people here to exert common sense seems a losing proposition.

Ultimately, yes. Nothing endures, and immortality is a myth, but in this place, people rarely stay long enough for that to be played out.

I've been well enough. Being home is a welcome change and I will give my attorney your name in order to contact you. I do not plan to contest the charges, but some testimony in my sentencing may be helpful.
