That doesn´t sound good, my friend. I wish I could help you. When I would live close to you I would stand up and drive you to work and bring you back, no matter that it would be the Christmas eve... But not only we just don´t live close, there is a whole ocean between us... :-( I hope you can find a way to solve that problem. *hugs*
BTW the picture of MJ you use for your icon is very cute. It was one of my fav pictures of him back being a teenager and a huge fan of Michael. Two nights ago, at work, at the radio there was one of his songs playing, "Give it to me" I always liked that song and it was nice to hear him again.
i did get a ride in place for it. i knew i would. i was just surpirsed when i suddenly realized the schedule.
as for my icon. thank you. that has always been my favorite picture of him. he was beautiful inside and out but there is something about that picture in particular that i love. Give In To Me is one of my favorites. that song is pure genius. though i feel that it was severely under credited in the US. i watched the David Gest documentary about him called "Michael Jackson: The Life Of An Icon" it was really good. it made me cry all over again.
Explain this to the correct parties RIGHT NOW. They either won't schedule you or they may help you solve a problem. It's possible a taxi cab would be your best bet if all else fails. Alternatively, a heavy bribe toward a relation sounds feasible.
Do little bits of cleaning as you can or just say "heck with it".
i am going to talk to my manager about it tomorrow. however i do have a ride in place. i am the head kennel person. it is part of my job to take the shifts that nobody else will take. and the only other kennel person is a high school student who also does not drive and lives further away. it's a given that i work it. plus the dr that i'm working with is a bit needy and may require more than what the other girl is capable of. as for the cleaning. if i am working christmas eve i will still clean the house the same as i always do. i'm anal about it. it comes with ADD/OCD. there is no such thing has half way with me. it's gotta be perfect.
