Very strange. Very strange indeed.
He were about to ask about his room when he heard a voice. Spinning on his boot heels, Jack turned to regard the stranger curiously. "Er... right. Fine day it is!" He leaned towards him conspiratorily. "Erm. Do you know what's all this about a key?" Jack held up the offending object, casting a look back at the man behind the desk cautiosly.
The Bellboy only smiled an eerie smile again.

"It is a room key. It will fit in the door to the room you have been assigned." Voronwé glanced at the Bellboy who - now satisfied that his deed was done - was retreating into the back area.
"I am very sorry to say this, but you will not be able to leave the Hotel once you have arrived." Having greeted a few newcomers already, he knew it was the best approach to lay down the truth at once, before going further into depth about other things.
"I am Voronwé, of Gondolin," he said, bowing lightly with his hand over his heart. "I have been here now for over three months." He knew it was only a matter of time before the man noticed the ears.

And heard the part about not leaving. "Euh... what?" he asked, the word tumbling from his mouth before he could stop it, obviously slightly alarmed. (It was a smooth alarmed, honestly; one could hardly notice, and if they did they would think it was suave.) He pulled a face and stared as the stranger introduced himself.
"Jack Sparrow, of the Black Pearl," he replied, mimicking the address. He was so caught off guard by the idea of being trapped that he forgot to add the necessary title of "Captain" before his name. Just utterly and completely flaberghasted. Jack swallowed audibly. "Three months?"
