Um...Saioh, I knocked your deck over and it spilled everywhere. Sorry about that. I was trying to find one of my cookbooks and knocked over...a lot of things. Do they need to go back in any particular order?
That's all right. They have a way of jumping out at one if they want to be noticed. I can put them back in order myself, but if you're feeling industrious... the Major Arcana go first (they are all numbered), and then the Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands, starting with the Aces and finishing with the Pages, Knights, Queens, and Kings.
[He begins to sort through them curiously.] You know, I've seen this sort of card for sale in bookstores, but I've never really paid that much attention to them. I know they've all got different meanings, but I never could keep them all straight in my head.
It's easy enough to remember, if you work with them long enough. There's actually a story that goes along with the Major Arcana, about a Fool that went on a journey to gain knowledge. I admit that keeping the Minor Arcana straight is more difficult, but they tend to run along themes. Are you planning on trying to learn how to read cards?
