Lana spent a good chunk of the day cooking to get ready for Dean's birthday dinner tonight. Yeah, she tended to go a bit overboard, but in this case, at least, she figured he wouldn't object to having a bunch of leftovers to bring home with him.

The house was filled with the smells of baking pies.

Meg knocked on Lana's door, excited but somewhat nervous with the news she was wanting to tell her.

Lana wiped off her hands and went to open the door. "Meg, hey," she said with a smile. "Come on in."

The little cottage certainly smelled good.

She got cleaned up and then curled up in a chair with her book to wait.

Neffie was warm in her lap

Dean had a case of decent beer. He was all ready for some early birthday celebrating. He knocked on the cottage door.
