Lana had been sitting on her back deck since she returned from the clinic, less because she wanted to be sitting outside than that she hadn't been able to make her feet carry her any farther. So she sat there in the gathering dark, staring blindly off into the forest

Sean was worried about Lana and he hadn't even actually seen her yet.

After spending a while at the clinic with Piper and the baby, he'd headed over to check on Lana. Knocking at the front door got him nothing, so he'd headed back to check the cottage. And that was where he found her.

"Hey," he said gently, looking up at her.

She turned her head vaguely in his direction, but didn't actually look at him. "Sean. Hey."

"I heard about what happened."

"Yeah," she said softly. "I... I still can't..."

She put her head in her hands, hiding the tears that sprang up. "I can't believe it," she said, voice muffled.
