DIY toiletries: body wash, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner

so i've been hearing more and more of the no-poo shampoo thing. (1 tablespoon of baking soda to 1 cup of water, to be used in place of normal shampoo).

well, i've tried it once, about a year ago. in fact, it was the no-poo recipe that formed the basis of my DIY body wash.( Read more... )

I need to try one of these days.
I just can't find time to actually sit down and experiment anymore because of the baby feeding, washing, soothing.
If this works for me too, imagine the amount of money I save! And since it use day to day materials, I suppose it is safe for baby too, right? :D

no worries! let me experiment for you, wahahahaaa...... as and when i find something good, i'll let you know.

generally things should be ok for baby, but you might want to do some research on products that are truly baby-friendly. some baby brands are infamous for using GMO products, and sometimes even questionably carcenogic elements in their baby products. i remember reading one of the big baby brands actually contains ingredients on the WHO list of things harmful to babies. ^^
