My stalker sent me a text message saying he really wasn't doing well and that I had to come see him.

I'm freaking out. I really don't want to go over there and I'm just imagining him having slit his wrists or something.

Not your responsibility. He's clearly manipulating you, whether he realizes this or not.

I realize that, but at the same time. . . I was just thinking about how horrible it would be if he did something drastic because of me. I only hung out with him once voluntarily and he just can't let me go. I've never met someone so insane. . .

Yeah, but it still wouldn't be your responsibility. If you go to see him it will enable him to keep doing this to people (mainly: you) because he's gotten the reaction he wants from his childish actions.

If he does something drastic, it's his own problem. It won't be because of you, it will be because he's crazy. Even if you seeing him this time prevents him from doing it this time, he'll still probably pull this shit in the future, whether it's with you or someone else. The point is, if he did something to himself at this point, he was going to do it no matter who he got involved with. It just comes with the manipulative stalker personality.

If you feel like you need to do something, I would recommend calling a professional to deal with this guy. I don't really know what sort of thing they have available where you are, but removing yourself from the situation will definitely be better for you.

That's just my opinion, because I don't want to see anything bad happen to you.
