Ah, nothing quite like The Dalek's Masterplan on a Friday evening (well, the bits of it that still exist, anyway).

Though I will note I've spent over half my life trying to get a decent likeness of Bill Wise, and still seem to juuussst fall short, this is certainly my best attempt so far.

December shall be my month of tying up loose ends, ready for 2013, starting with an enormous swathe of stuff today... Including doing a proper livejournal update. Let's see if I can manage it!

Ha haaa, I really suck at keeping this up-to-date. But I've been so busy even my birthday flew by with my barely noticing. On top of my PhD, I'm currently working two research assistant jobs, a teaching assistant job, tutoring, and doing extra teacher training (semester-long Pinnacle course, which involved writing and giving lectures, etc). So... I suck at finding time to keep this journal up to date. But, by the time I've got through my PhD work, trudged through housework, and clung by the fingernails to the vestiges of something vaguely approximating a social life, I'm usually so exhausted I can't type straight. Da da daaa, back from Sydney, and into the thick of uni. Dad's been sick the whole week I've been back, so most of my time has been swooped up by taking up nursing and cooking duties. Since my last update, I've attended more interesting talks, made sure my LaTeX notes file is all in order, had a super delicious BBQ pork and fried rice lunch (sooo big), nabbed a takeway to reheat for dinner, and had a great browse of Paddy's markets. I bought shoes. And Knuckles. Heavy, posable plastic Knuckles.

Le fatigue! Scraping myself out of bed in the mornings is made difficult by a sleep broken by traffic, and someone having a party somewhere - the "doof doof doof" and "vreeoooom BEEEP" is attenuated, but not completely eliminated, by earplugs I had brought for just such a scenario.
