My aunt died on Friday. I found out about it yesterday afternoon at PAX. I should be going home. We had savings for events like this. So I could go home no matter what our situation was. I'll get home from work and have plenty to write. But I'll get caught up in all my bookmarks and end up procrastinating at least an hour on stupid internet shit. It's such a guilty pleasure but I really need to curb it if I want to stay pro-active with my evenings.

Summer is drawing to a close. I've been looking forward to this part of the year since I arrived in May. Less distractions that can be a financial drain (Shambhala, PAX) and some form of enjoyable routine. The rugby pre-season starts this week. I'll be down at the club on Thursday to see who is still around from '06.

The past few weeks were a little stressful but now less so. I've managed to pull a 180˚ with future plans. I will not be sending that application to college this year. And possibly never will. I'm exploring different avenues and more then happy to do so. I have to start investigating if there is much of a future with the industries I'm thinking of ( Read more... )

A few weeks to figure this out? More like a few months. Future career plans on hold until the end of summer. Thick layer of dust on application expected.

Life is starting to get a little overwhelming and I'm wondering if it's possible I may burn out soon. I'm constantly busy and have ended up prioritizing what I do with my time. Something I haven't had to do since '06! It's nice. For now at least ( Read more... )
