Yesterday went to this presentation done by "PKF Accountants and Business Advisors" and was given free pens, a really really cool push-in-pop-out style tin (it had jelly beans in... but the tin is ace!) and Beer

PKF = Pannel, Kerr, Foster. They're a "mid-tier" top 20 firm, huge in the UK. Nice chaps, all things considered, excpet for the clients they keep nicking from us :)

Good career choice - did he convince you to go down a qualification route? (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc).

It was the first presentation thingy i've been to... I forsee many more that im gonna go to. Plus I have to pass my degree first...

It was a trainee thing they run (I don't have the pack with me) but it was a course that resulted in being a 'Chartered Accountant' *shrugs*

They're very nice people! They gave me beer! and pens! and a clicky tin thingy!

Yep, want to be an accountant.

That would be ace! Shall keep you upto date (via postings in LJ mostly) about my decisions... im still a first year after all. Although im more than certain I wanna be an accountant, still shall do more research and attend more fairs/presentations about it and 'acquire' more free things. ^_^

I went the bank yesterday to pay in my bursary cheque and set up my student account and the first thing I did when I walked in the door was notice the big bowl full of pens... which I took... well about a third of the pens and there were alot of pens!
