i like it. its dark and eloquent. it reminds me of one line from The Raven.

"and the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain thrilled me- filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before."

i especially like the symbolism of the red apple. eve tempting adam. the apple was the fruit of the tree of knowledge.
