[Scribbles] Again

heartbeats took over
blood slowed travelling
a handwidth a beat
lungs grew heavy

it was the dizziness before sleep
on the heels of thirst
inspiring exhaustion
and sudden loss of tension

the tiredness of unrest
brought my heart fore
the paired pumps
help slow down breaths

it was falling in love
in a gluttonous manner
to want to breathe it in
and send it out

without action but intent
and insecurity of arrival
and only the knowledge
that it will succeed again.
