So while we eagerly (and in my case desperately) await the release of Bad Moon Rising, I thought we'd just have a lovely chat about the series in general.

How did you find out about/get into the Dark Hunter series? What is your favorite thing(s) about the series? Least favorite ( Read more... )

My mom had already bought and read all of them up until Ash's book and I was looking for something new to read so she gave me the first one and from then on I was hooked. I read through them all and then passed them on to two friends who also love them. My favorite thing about the books is the characters. They're hilarious and feel so real.

I can't wait for Nick's story because he's one of my favorite characters. Everything he's gone through just makes him even more compelling. Besides his future book I'm looking forward to the Chronicles of Nick that Sherri is writing.

I've read the manga and thought it was great. I loved seeing the characters drawn so I can finally stop trying to picture them in my head. I was a little upset that it had been split into two parts because then I had to wait to see Ash and Simi in their cute cartoon forms.

So your mom got you into them? That's so cool! I'm trying to get my mom into them :\

Kyrian looked exactly like I had pictured him in my mind, he's one of my favorite Dark Hunters. I just have such a soft spot for him.

Yeah, we both share a love of supernatural things. We're always swapping new books.

I was pleasantly surprised because that was how I'd pictured him too. He's the first Dark Hunter you meet so of course he'd be the one that everyone will always love. I'm really interested in seeing what the artist thinks Zarek should look like since he's the one that I fell in love with. Maybe that's why I've grown to like Nick so much. They're dark around the edges but soft at heart.

Zarek will be interesting and I want to see Vane, Bride and Wulf as well. After Kyrian, Vane is my favorite. Of course, I can't wait to see what Katra will look like too. That's a long wait though, I wish the wouldn't split the stories in two. It makes it an even longer wait.

I saw the books in the shop near where I used to work; I had a lot of time between calls (I used to work on a complaint line in a call centre) and was looking for something to read. I think I fell for Kyrian from the blurb on the back of the book, bought it at lunchtime and was hopelessly addicted and on Amazon buying the rest of the series (thank god it was payday!). I really like the way in that the next heroes would introduced as supporting characters (and after Dance with the Devil I'm expecting Sundown to have book).

I love the way that just because a character gets their HEA, their story isn't over but that does mean I didn't like Ravyn's story so much because they were missing!

I'm looking forward to Bad Moon Rising (I have a huge soft spot for the wolves) and I want Sundown and Urian (who I am also inordantly fond of) to have books.

I got the manga and I love it - it's fun even if Nick's hair looks a bit odd to me and Julian reminds me of Sam from Supernatural but blond!

Oh I'd love Sundown to have a book, I can just imagine his accent! To be honest I wasn't to crazy about Ravyn's story either.

Julian looks like a little boy in the manga, he's so cute.

How did you find out about/get into the Dark Hunter series? What is your favorite thing(s) about the series? Least favorite?

My friend Stephanie and her mom started reading them, and then they told our friend Ericka, who then told me ALL about the books that she had read, so the next time we went out, I bought myself a copy of Night Play, read it in one night, and have been hooked since. I love the details, and that there is so much actual history behind the stories. I can't think of anything that I've ever disliked about the series...

Who's story are you most excited about and can't wait for? Why?

I was dying for Ash's book. Leading to his book, we were given tantalizing hints about his past and why he is the way he is, but to read the whole back story, and then see him get his HEA, well, it was a feel good point, and yet there was the hint of something so much worse on the horizon.

Have you gotten the Manga? If so, what did you think about it?Not yet, because the Barnes and Noble is my area sucks. I have to order is special ( ... )

I love the fact that the "Happy Endings" aren't all happy. There's always something evil looming around the corner. That's great.

Have you checked at comic book stores in your area? Sometimes you can get lucky and they'll have a good selection of Manga.

One of my good friends that I met at work heard that I sometimes read romance novels so she said I HAD to read Sherri's novels. So she let me borrow Kyrian's book and I read that in about two days. Then I went to the used bookstore next door (USED BOOKSTORE NEXT DOOR TO WHERE I WORK. OMG I LOVE IT!) and got the rest of the series. I'm hooked!

One of my favorite things is how everything is intertwined and a minor character in one book becomes a major one in another. And I love the gods and goddesses and how they're portrayed. I never would've pegged Artemis as a huge bitch! There's not really anything I don't like about it!

I really can't wait for Savitar or Jaden's books. I hope they're as long as Acheron's book was! Both those characters are shrouded in mystery and you only get a taste of their past in the books. I want it all ( ... )

I feel so bad for Jaden. He's so mysterious but there's also a lot of pain there. Ugh, you have a used bookstore next door? That's awesome, I'd spend all my time (and money) there if I could.

And I so wish I could meet Sherri! I'd love to get her autograph at the very least. You're so lucky! You've got to let me know how that goes.

How did you find out about/get into the Dark Hunter series? What is your favorite thing(s) about the series? Least favorite?

I picked up Arik's story in the hospital store before I was induced and kept it as a 'break this in case of boredom emergency' book. Though I did skim (I didn't have much time), I really couldn't put it down! And so it began. My favorite book is Dance with the Devil and my least favorite...(don't kill me) is probably Ash's book. Maybe I'm still bitter, feeling slighted by the length of the second part. Still, I should read it again and see if I like it better.

Who's story are you most excited about and can't wait for? Why?

Probably one of the newer, 'grayer' characters, like the demons. I want to see more of Asmodeus, he's funny. And, of course, Simi and Nick. Jaden and Jared will but fun I'm sure, but I'm worried that I'll be disappointed (and don't know how many more torture scenes I can sit through).

Have you gotten the Manga? If so, what did you think about it?I would like to get the manga, ( ... )

The manga is actually a redoing of Kyrian's story. It's awesome, if you like, I can send you a copy as a thank you gift. Just let me know.

That would be totally awesome of you. We could do a trade. I think Dark Side of the Moon is the ones I have signed, must check. Maybe the Dark Hunter Companion.
