Two weeks ago, man-tiara started falling apart. This shouldn't have surprised anyone, since I've had those glasses (well, that frame, anyway) since I was fifteen. While they've served me well in the last nine or so years, I think that even the best frames can only last for so long before they start to fall apart. congrats! maybe the 'rents' insurance covered lasik but not glasses??

Nope. My parents' insurance didn't cover LASIK, and mine didn't cover glasses (because, well, I had none). I think my parents think of LASIK as something of a second coming, and since all their friends were getting it, they got it (well, my Mom did, anyway), and wanted me to get it too. Go figure.

Actually, I think that's very brave of you to get LASIK. I could never ever do it and I think valium wouldn't help me through the surgery.

Yeah, no kidding. You'd think that after I went through this, eyedrops would be a walk in the park. No dice. I still flinch when I try to put them in.

I don't care how many times I hear about this, Mely was rocking back in her chair the entire time, whimpering in rhythmic spasms and feeling faint as the blood drained from her face.

I really should tell you about this in person again, because honestly, I'm curious about what you might look like with no blood in your face. I'm not sure it can get any paler, really.
