A single foot; bare, pale and arched, touched down to the iced earth. It carried warm blood that surged beneath the skin, but did not retract from the cold. It seemed to embrace such harshness into it's self. Slowly, a lean, white limb petruded from the nothingness; a shin bone embraced with a calf muscle and covered in white skin and a fine
