I posted a link to this article on my facebook, and now I'm in an argument with someone who I thought was smarter is basically making it all about how it's unfair to men to assume they're rapists until proving otherwise and that it's sexist to do so. She had the gall to tell me that I'm very clearly sexist against men when I pointed out that sexism ( Read more... )

how it's unfair to men to assume they're rapists until proving otherwise and that it's sexist to do so.

Many people (men and women alike) don't realize how pervasive the rape culture really is in North America. Hopefully your friend will read those sites and change her mind-I'm not sure what else you could have done either.

Wait, what? Men not being responsible for the majority of rapes and sexual assaults? Wait?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Let me weep for the poor menz who are offended by me trying to keep myself safe. I mean, it would be nice if I could trust any man I met not to be a rapist, but you can't so...
