Stressful Dream

Aug 21, 2010 01:04

Two days ago I had a sort of bad dream. By no means the most horrifying I ever had, but it's been bugging me a lot for many reasons. The first is that I have had this dream before, many years ago, and this time there were just a few cosmetic changes, cos it was pretty much the same. And also, the night before I was really tired after an emotional ( Read more... )

hmmm

well that sounds like quite a dream.
It could be stress related, I mean with everything bad going on all around us in the world and in our own country, it is definaily giving alot of folks bad dreams these days.

the soldiers could represent a feeling of oppression that is getting to you, such as job or coworkers, etc.

the feeling of helplessness also fits in with the current situation, and then the tree.
as a bear, we feel safest in the woods, as if they beckon to us and offer safety and comfort (at least thats the way I feel when I walk in them)

and then when you have had enough, clarity and purpose come to you, and you see what must be done, and you do it.

a look at your current sources of stress might help, and a nice walk in the wood to clear your mind and focus could lead you to a way to deal with some of it.

Just a bears thoughts for a fellow bear :)

I think your bear perspective might actually have been just what is needed, bro. For the last two weeks I've been slowly going crazy about something in my character that I really don't like, but which was ok before. Now circumstances have changed and it has become a bad thing ... Basically, ever since my relationship ended after those 3 bad years, I decided to not have another one and just enjoy being single. But now there's someone really special and I am afraid to try a relationship cos I think I will hurt them. Why is my dream so violent though? I mean ... Lots of people got killed, and I killed someone too. Admittedly, the slimy fuck deserved it. And it's so confusing to have World War 2 soldiers in two of my past schools!

we all have thatfear my friend, especilly us bears as we are so much larger than most species. And the fact you just got out of a bad relationship, it is scarry to risk it again, not knowing if it will happen again.

in a way your subconsious is trying to protect you by showing you what could go wrong.

All I can advise is to take it slow, and be willing to be open to the person, and make sure its right.
