Over estimating Vs under estimating

Sep 08, 2009 00:55

Some people hates and loathes the feeling or the idea of being under estimated and thinks being under estimated is a bad thing. I certaintly can empathize with that but I beg to differ.

When people under estimate you, that is when you get to shine and wow people.

i agree somewhat. though i got some stuff to add but will save it for next time.

bottom line is, set ur own standard and work to achieve it. unless one is a complete screw up, chances are the person will meet or exceed other people's expectations. please urself first, before others. cause there are billions of ppl out there and u cant please them all.

secondly, the bar gets raised constantly each time u exceed expectations. there will eventually be a point where u cannot meet. so what do u do there?

like high jump. Each time u exceed target (leap over the bar) the bar gets raised till u cant get across. The gist? Do your best. As long as u have done ur best, u will be alright.

If i beat people's expectations but felt that i didnt do my best still, i aint happy. end of the day, i need to work on my own expectations (reasonable amount) rather than someone else's.

U know my character. I generally dont give a hoot in meeting people's expectations. I think i give myself a hard time as it is already. Enuff! :P
