Wow, I could pretty much see this happening if things had turned out just slightly different at the end of the manga. I have to second (or would it be fifth at this point?) the other comments-it's just sad. But I just happen to like it because of that. I don't know if it fits into the angst category, it seems more like reflection of what life is like, I'm not seeing the self-pity/anger or anger at the world or feeling betrayed by everything. I dunno, but it seems to reflect more what life is about and sometimes life leads us in directions very different from what we ever thought we ever travel. :-(
