I made an opinion based off the observations I've been given ; because I cannot be there to whitness or take matters in my own hands, I must rely on the words of others. I think you should re-read your comment in MY lj before you start asking: "Isn't it funny how people can blow things out of proportion?". Speak for yourself, Sean. Also, the only one calling you a "fuckface" is YOURSELF (and this began RIGHT after you made that post, before I even had a chance to comment! Not to mention, no one else has had a chance to comment yet!) So what does that tell you? It tells me that you'd aware that what you said was wrong and out of line and yet you continued to hit "post comment"! But, you know what, you're right...you are a "fuckface". If you won't take it from her, take it from me. That man is a jerk. When I came to visit, he was not "living there", but he was staying there every night and eatting there and spending his money on booze. When he said those things to me, it was well before I had heard anything bad from Devon about him. My knowledge of the man was that he was dating your mother and that he was the roomate of her ex boyfriend. Now by saying that a "chick" could never run a ship, doesn't mean that he "doubts the abilities of women in space exploration missions". It means he has a low opinion of women. That he believs that women cannot do more then menial tasks like cook, clean, waitress or work a cash register. The way he talks to women is down, as if he is better than them. I see it in the way he acts to your mother as well, but she's sleeping with him, she'll never realize it. Besides, she doesn't have a good track record at picking out the bad ones! Hey, did you even know the reason he's not living with his roomate? Cause he's legally not ( ... )

Thats good that your being a good friend and defending her<-- I would do the same. Seth cares alot about his family and I know he doesn't want this to go down the way it is..

How dare you bring my mother's judgement into question here. How dare you insult her and threaten me. This little issue is between me and Devon, for the most part, and I think you too are blowing things out of context because it's your best friend that is spouting them.

You have no right bringing my mother into question here when she is giving Devon a place to stay through this no doubt difficult time of her life.
Let me say this, as I will not waste my time on your immature reply. Grow up, take your empty threats elsewhere, they mean nothing to me. Just like your biased opinion.

Well this is definatly an interesting subject.... I am not hear to take anyones sides! Does my opion matter? Probally not... but here it goes.

I think we all need to step back and take a look at the situation for what it is. NON OF OUR BUSSINESS, This is an issue( or maybe there isnt even an issue) that is between Gerry and Seth's Mom. For all we know they could be the 2 happiest people on earth. I think its great that people express concern for these too people.<-- I am not being sarcastic. I really think that all devon was trying to do was express some concern. I understand that she doesn't like Gerry for the fact that he reminds her of her not so good stepfather. It could be possible that some of the things that she is saying are kinda of backed up and a little hot tempered becuase of her step dad. I dont think there is any need for people to begin fighting and saying harsh things over the two people ( gerry and seth's mom) when they could be really happy together. I guess you could say " to each their own ( ... )

Hi Leah - just wanted to say that your comment made a lot of sense and the people involved should take a minute to realize that. Everyone always butts into other peoples relationships, I am so bad for it, but when it gets down to it. . . judgement is soley based on the couple at hand. I know that nobody likes to be left out when their friends or family members are at stake, but people make their own decision and I think it is important that everyone realizes that the couple - Debbie and Jerry - are both grown adults. Nobody is perfect, nobody can make all the right decisions, and more importantley. . . nobody has the right to tear up their relationship which may lead to better and greater things. They are grown people who can make their own decisions and choices. If these decisions take some time, there is nothing that we can do about it. I feel like Dr. Phil.

It's funny, seth is being civil and you guys are being 12 year olds and swearing like mad.
And if he wanted to he could very well show his mother what you said about her and everything else you've said concering the relationship in her life and have Devon removed from the house.. and I know she would. So you better watch what you say =P
