Not much going on here, but I thought I'd update. I had naginata class again, and I'm doing well for only two lessons. I watched a competition, and naginata scares me, because my nito style is starting to look less effective against it then previously though, but I haven't sparred in a while, so I don't necessarily know how it works ( Read more... )

Naginata (なぎなた, 長刀 or 薙刀) is a pole weapon that was traditionally used in Japan by members of the samurai class. It has become associated with women, and in modern Japan, it is studied by women more than men.

As I'm well aware. It was used by the samurai class before they went to the katana, but it was still used, as well as the yari. I'm doing it for experience, and don't tell me you wouldn't want to learn how to use a blade on a stick. XD
