About girls not supposed to be hit:

I believe you shouldn't lay a hand on a woman, but if it came down to a fight I propose more of a deflect approach. You can defend yourself without actually attacking. Think of Judo, or some other martial art that uses your opponents momentum against them. I mean if a girl came running at me to attack me, I defend myself but would'nt even dare to attack. (Unless she was some uber muscly chick who could snap my neck with her index finger, then I'd have to open a can of whoop-ass.)

Where as, I think your approach is more of a block and counter. Take out the counter, and just push away or something. If she can't touch you, she can't hurt you...

i hear what ur saying, but i dont agree. if i deflect she will still attack me. the self defence im taught its to remove the threat, and if she really wants to attack me, the threat cannot just be pushed aside, if you get the pun. she will keep coming after me until im on the floor or she is. that is the mentality. but, if i hit her a couple times, and i do mean a couple as in like 2, she might reconsider. this is the mentality behind fights. if she doesnt second guess herself, well then shes running into my fist again. i just hope that she'll stop, but i havent faught anyone and i dont give them a reason to. XD
