So I just got in the most interesting conversation with topher... a better conversation than I've had with anyone in a long time

and it made me think about my ideals and my values and my worldview

and it made me sad.

i hate falling for someone and knowing it's bad.

i think many of your hopes, dreams, faiths, what have you, are unrealistic. When things don't go your way you feel bitter about it. Yes life is dull. Nothing fantastic is going to be revealed to you every day, at least not in any profound way. I find the beauty in life in small and big things alike. Whether it's the wedding of a couple from my family or someone just being genuinely kind to me. Or being able to place some trust in a person. Or just knowing that there are people out there that love you. You can't be idealistic all the time, it doesn't work: that only leads to disappointment. So yes life can seem dull and disappointing alot but mabey it's cause your reaching for the cookie jar too soon, Amanda. In time you will grow taller and you can reach that cookie jar. Just not yet. Be patient. Be happy with what and who you have now cause it/they may not be there tomorrow.
