It works. ;-)
I've been meaning to read so many of those but I never really get around to. I spend too much time on the internet
But some books on this list don't really seem to fit. Shakespeare and Dan Brown on the same list makes me go o.O
(Now I want to know why you read the bible...)

Yay, it works.

I know what you mean. Some of these books are really random.

(Seven years ago, I watched a mini-series on TV about the life of Christ. I thought one of his students, John, was really cute. So I read the bible in search of John-centered passages, disregarding the fact that the "cute" guy was an actor. =P My reason for reading the Bible included drooling and hunky men. I'm insolent.)

That's a very acceptable reason. The best I've ever heard in fact. Who wouldn't want drool worthy hotness to brighten up their day? Even if it's only in your head. :-P I approve!
