I suppose the rewards of this outweigh the foolishness of the activity itself......For the upcoming newspaper, I request information from anyone willing to disclose such on the disappearances that happen here every so often. About the people themselves, not the circumstances of their disappearance. Preferably recently lost citizens, but I suppose ( Read more... )

There was Yuna, and she was really pretty and nice. When the island got turned back from being candy, she said we could get some normal candy instead. Colette was really nice, too! Me and Colette used to fly together a lot. She tripped all the time, though... And Olette, too. She used to talk to me sometimes about stuff I remembered and whenever something weird happened. Um... Serra was really loud, but she taught me all sorts of stuff, like about pie trees and how new buildings come. And there was this guy named Mithos who led our soccer team, and one time when I crashed in the forest he gave me food!

...I had a feeling there would be a bit of a list.

Then, I gather these people were particularly nice to you. Can you describe their personalities and quirks in a little more detail, however? Just a few words will work, nothing long-winded.

Well... Yuna was always looking out for me, I guess, and Colette, too. They were both really worried when I crashed in the forest. They were always telling me we could go get some apples or candy whenever something bad happened, even though I don't think they knew each other. And this one time, I think Yuna was sick, but she was trying to act normal so I wouldn't get worried.

Colette seemed to lose her balance a lot, but she had wings like me, so we'd always go out and fly. Olette and me, we'd try to figure out what was going on with the island whenever something happened. And whenever I had a question, Serra'd come and explain it to me. She said I was her vassal, and I was gonna help her fly, but I never got to before she disappeared. Mithos was the soccer team captain, and he was the one who taught us all how to play. It was really fun, and he was really nice, too!

Oh, oh, and Kamina was always telling me that my wings were a good gift, and that we had to pierce the heavens.

[flatly, almost dead-sounding] I'm doing nothing of the sort.

I can hear it. You're closing yourself off--from me, from everybody.

You're running away.

...I don't care.

Think that if it pleases you.

I was in recent communication with only one who has vanished -- A Captain Zapp Brannigan. He was a crude man with low morals who disappeared in the midst of his trial regarding the theft of women's underwear . . . I should think that would be enough for you to gain a general understanding of his character.

...I see. That sort. Perhaps it's better this way, then.

Thank you, nonetheless.

...Olette.

Olette left and she was...

She was really nice and kind. She didn't even hate me after I beat her up.

I'm more familiar with Olette, so I... know what you mean. I appreciate the mention, however.

...What is a newspaper?

..........

It is as its name suggests. A printed set of pages with various sections, some of which are designed for information, others of which are for entertainment. There are articles on recent events, but also things such as reviews, letters, advice columns, puzzles, and obituaries. Although, in this case, the obituaries are not documenting people who have recently died, but written instead on disappeared residents.

Is that a sufficient enough explanation?
