Must I really bring up the pink elephant in the room?

So. The call a few days ago with the killer children over the phone.

How often does something like that happen in this seemingly nice neighborhood?

Well...not that often actually. They're actually something that just popped up recently. And they're not really that bad compared to everything else here.

...

I really am astonished that a teenager getting hacked over the phone by little children qualified as a small thing.

That compared to body parts in boxes for Christmas in July, town wide food shortages that last a week, epidemics and shady vaccines, being locked in a bedroom with someone that is like a sister to you for five hours, murders, poisoned food and drinks, candy that makes you say and do strange things, forced Thanksgiving dinners, acid rain, and false elections?

I should have said there are worse things that happen here then just that.

I still found the phone call more than a little disturbing. Despite what regularly goes on that is a bit nutty, someone's suffering shouldn't be commonplace.

One would hope things aren't as bad as that.

Has there been any news regarding the person they were hurting?

I am unaware. Just the phone call.

I heard about that. Quite sloppy of them, really.

Letting someone hear them killing him...

Don't be absurd. They are sadists who need an audience.

Any fool could see that once going past their own personal outrage. There was no fineness here, just malice.

Did you not hear the latest phone conversation? It's pretty hard to miss.

N-No. I always thought they were pretty easy to miss.

It was a cause of distress with a murder happening.

That sort of thing usually perks one's ear.

[Not saying anything, but you know he's listening to anything pertaining to the twins after that.]
