I felt like cooking last night and experimented. I took a couple of large portabello mushroom caps and marinated them in red wine. Then I mixed crabmeat, cheese, crumbs, garlic and salt and stuffed the caps, then broiled them. They were good, but they needed something. Any ideas?

The wife cooked last night. Mmmm. Chicken breasts stuffed with goat cheese, dried apricots and slivered almonds, rolled in breadcrumbs and crushed almonds, browned then baked and served with a mint pesto.

Yummy.

I get a craving for lamb now and then. The wife doesn't like it, but she tolerates it. I bruised some rosemary (from our garden) in olive oil and rubbed it on a couple of arm chops, then sprinkled it with sea salt. I let it sit for a while and built a fire. I cooked them pretty well while roasting some new potatoes in garlic and herbs and heating ( Read more... )

Last night was the opening of "An Adult Evening with Shel Silverstein." I have not laughed so hard in a long time. The show has a great cast with real talent, and they are all pretty cool people. Everybody there loved it ( Read more... )

Preparing for a photo exhibit is a lot of work, especially because I work digital. Once you struggle through the challenge of what to display (and I am photographing new works to go in it), they have to be printed, matted and framed (which is not cheap). Then you have to figure out how to hang everything ( Read more... )
