I will soon have my Theory of Computation take-home exam finished, and for that I am pleased. I only have two problems left, and I've solved them both intellectually. I just have to figure out how to write my solutions down in proper proof-tastic style. Before I go to bed tonight, I plan on finishing the exam and being well-prepared for the Latin exam so I can take it bright and early tomorrow morning. That way, I'll be done with two of my classes. I still haven't started the Paper of Doom for AI, which is really frightening, but I'm trying to get everything else done first so I don't have to worry about it (also, the AI paper is the last thing due--my Geology lab is due the day of the test, the 19th, and the Comp. Sci. exam is due the 20th. The fact that I need to have the AI paper done on the 20th so I can leave at 10am on the 21st is immaterial, I say...)

I got my last exam for the class back today, and I did very well--39/40 (I didn't explicitly write halt states in one of my Turing Machines, just assumed that if there was no transition from a given state on a given character, it would halt automatically. Turns out you can't do that. Bummer.)

Fortunately, (other than occasional sniffles) I am healthy again... yay! Finals week would not have been fun if my cold had persisted.
I went to a really awesome party on Tuesday night. It was a Biblical party--everyone came dressed as a character from the Bible. I went as Enoch, wearing an "I'm with God" shirt in the style of "I'm with stupid" shirts. Dani was the Apostle Peter. She dressed up as a boxer in shiny gold shorts over sweatpants, a big key that said "Heaven" and a t-shirt. On the front the shirt said "Can you smell what the Rock is cooking? SALVATION!" and on the back it said "The one! The only! The apostle! Simon called Rocky!" Erin was Jonah, in a bathing suit. Other people there were dressed as such things as the Apple, the Baby Jesus, Chloe and Her People, Judas, a variety of Marys of various last names and states of virginity, Adam and Steve, the Garden of Eden, the list goes on... It was fantastic and geeky. (Why is it that alcohol is always so much better when there is geekiness to go along with it?) One of the stated goals of the party was "social awkwardness of biblical proportions" but the great thing about getting a bunch of geeks into a room to party together is that we were all geeky and so we all had fun.

Tomorrow night I'm having dinner with some of the people I hung out with at the party, a few of whom are going abroad next semester. This makes me sad indeed--people should not be allowed to go abroad, I think...

Well, should probably get back to work.
