The Eyes have it...and they can keep it.

Prior to heading back home on Wednesday, Mr. Warlock took a short diversion to take in the London Eye a.k.a. the Millennium wheel. At some 450ft this is the world's highest observation wheel and not the place where people who don't like heights (i.e. me) would normally be found ( Read more... )

you were on that thing? Are you nuts? wow I would have been screaming the moment I even thought about going on it!

hey you guys are driving on the wrong side of the street down there! Ok never mind, I just liked how Corsa was hating my driving while she was here- we had a nice long discussion about driving and crazy drivers.

I am glad you are back home tho. Stay away from those scary things!!

I have to confess that about a third of the way round as we neared the summit/apex/top whatever you want to call it, I started to wonder if it was such a good idea getting on in the first place.

As it neared the very top, I sat on the little bench in the middle of the cabin and just looked at the pictures that I had already taken and didn't look out of the windows at all.

I didn't quite kiss the ground when I got out, a la the Pope, but I was relieved to be back on Tarra firma.

As someone says in a film "There's no place like home"!!

This is totally off subject here but myself, along with some other people you know, got into playing this game last year called Nation States. Basically you get to run a country according to your own wishes. Of course, everything you do, or don't do will have an effect on your nation. I chose to do something yesterday and the result made me think of you:

elevator music has been replaced by thrash metal played at maximum volume

My country is called Lyratopia *s*

I have two questions - where is Lyratopia and how do I immigrate there?

Thrash metal can only be played at maximum volume. But there is a downside to this, beware if you have Lawnmower Deth playing as people would spend all their time riding the elevator just to listen to the sublimeness of "Seventh Church of the Apocalyptic Lawnmower".

BTW - the evil rating thing darkest_magicks March 4 2005, 09:58:03 UTC

Just noticed you comment on my evil rating. Yes, I too was disappointed only to achieve a 99% evil rating.

Much pondering, deep thought and self analysis when on ...then I concluded that this was due to what I call the "good" factor.
