Apparently, it's a place to store your livejournal entries and comments. It apparently makes locked posts on your friends list available to others, somehow.

Never even heard of Frienditto. What do they do if they get ahold of your info?

Well, I'm pretty sure you'd have to become a member of theirs first, and to do that I believe you need to give your login password. Unless you or someone on your flist is a member of frienditto, I don't believe you have to worry much about them getting your info.
