Where is a good place for a couple interested in purchasing some good quality leather gear. Mind you we are new to the leather think and don't know much about it all.

It all depends on where you live. I'd check out stores in your home town. There are often very high quality leather-producers in every major metropolis. Here in Chicago, it's Shel-don Leathers. Sheldon for years made the best chaps in the U.S., and FITTED leather vests exclusively for Male Hide Leathers. When Male Hide closed, Sheldon worked for Mephisto Leathers for a couple years before finally getting his own store and business. There are now two or three other producers here in Chicago including Caliber Leathers, but I don't have any experience with their wares. Online, Nasty Pig makes good fetish gear, although their chaps are neoprene, not leather; they are also inexpensive in comparison to handmade fitted chaps. NEVER by pre-made chaps off a rack otherwise. Mr. S leathers online has great fetish gear, although sometimes it's a little pricey. Square Peg sells their dildos out of Mr. S.; and I swear by them. Fort Troff is a great source for hardcore gear, aromas, and rubber gear.... But for deals, nothing beats the leather marts ( ... )

:-) Thanks you've been a lot of help, I actually did once almost buy chaps off the rack. Hope you don't mind, but I've added you to my friends list.

Do you condsider yourself Buddhist?

Do you believe in the Zodiac Signs, and if so how much?

Where is your favorite place in the world?

What was your happiest memory?

Have you ever been to a Buddhist Temple, not in the US?

Let me extrapolate on the Happiest Memory, have you ever felt centered and right there in the moment, and if so what were you doing, That is what I conder true happiness.

I've often felt "centered" and "right there in the moment" -- But the happiness you describe is fleeting emotion, like sadness. True happiness is a state of mind that persists even when you are sad or experiencing life difficulties or challenges. When we have memories, we associate emotions with them, yes. However, we must not confuse those emotions with being "truely" happy or not. e.g. Some of my happiest memories, are now some of my saddest because I may never experience them again due to circumstances out of my control. On the other hand, I've learned to never say "never". Someday, I may have more happy memories, different happy memories, and/or stronger happy memories.

That is a very interesting outlook on happiness. You've really managed to open my mind to the different aspects of happiness and how it relates to the past. I'd like to think you'll have more happy memories, but who am I to judge someone elses life. Best wishes, and many thanks to you for opening my mind to a new view, hope to talk more in the future.

The Swami answers ALL.... darkeyedscorp March 5 2006, 23:38:20 UTC
How did I get here? Where do you want to go?

Do you know where you're going to? Hell in a handbasket, probably.

What have I done to deserve this? I'm not mad at you; I'm MAD AT THE DIRT!

Will you still love me tomorrow? I'll love you 'till the end of time.

Have you never been mellow? Have you ever let someone else be strong? Like, um, ya, dude.... and.... YEAH, FUCKER!

Whatever happened to my show? You are one UNHAPPY diva!

Was it something that they said, all the voices in your head? Like a Berio symphony.

What time is love? Usually somewhere between 3 pm and 8 pm. But usually, just before I doze off in bed at night, and sometimes, when I wake up. Oh heck, let's just say, all the time.... Oh wait, you mean L-O-V-E love....

Don't you love farce? (You knew S.S. would show up here) Yes. And stop calling me Shirley Stephen.

How do you mend a broken heart? I'm still working on that one.... But a good health insurance policy helps.
