That actually sounds like an intriguing premise. Though I'm not going to let myself watch another show just yet, XD, I still have IRIS to catch up on...
...oh shit, and there's still the Meisa drama that will get added to the list of doom. What the hell, at this point another one won't do much difference *downloads*
Haven't seen the third ep yet, but I can't say I like this drama. The topic is fascinating, but the... how to call it... technical aspects of filming annoy me. Lighting, cinematography, the shots they take, in parts the acting are all mediocre at best. The atmosphere they were trying to create with the cherry blossoms? So not my case. And I can't stand Miwako, she is so full of clichés (I blame it on the actress and the director as well as the script) it almost outweighs Haru's awesomely realistic storyline. Doesn't look like ep3 will make me like her better either. I only watch for the topic and the lead actress. Oh, and probably the football guy romance, once I get there. Kind of the opposite of Arakawa Under the Bridge, which I watch for everything except the story. So far. XD
!!!!!!! Oh no, and we were on a roll too! Ah well, I guess we can't agree on every drama.
I'm pretty sure the cherry blossoms were CGI. I guess they were out of season? XD But I'm loving the rest of the cinematrophy, especially when it comes to MIWAKO'S HOUSE OF HORRORS. It's always so creepy and backlit. Actually, I love that whole storyline.

I guess I had the wrong expectations for this: I wanted realism, not a manga approach. (Apparently it is a manga adaption? I could tell even before reading this somewhere above.) Haru's storyline is undramatic but I feel with him; Miwako, on the other hand, is such a manga heroine when dealing with IS. The drama pushes her very much in that direction - they're not even trying to make her character one to identify with. That's... not what I'd have done, were I responsible for this. It's a question of style and personal preference, I guess.
I'd love to end this in a happy note, so have Tabe Mikako watch in excitement as Mabo is beat into submission:

Yeah, it must be, because I see where you're coming from but my feelings are completely different. XD BRING ON THE DRAMA, I SAY. Stand naked in front of more windows! Let your girlfriend boyfriend ambiguously-gendered classmate cradle your bleeding body! I WILL EAT IT ALLLL UP.
