I'm so torn about this drama because I love those two, but...I tried to watch episode 6 today and I just couldn't handle the creepiness and supreme awkwardness anymore so I stopped in the middle and deleted the episode. We'll see if I'm tempted to go back to it or not. XD
I think this is the first time potential incest has made me say "NOOOO!" instead of "WHEEEE!" Because I really, really want them to become canon, and if they're related I know I won't get it. XD
I caved and watched the ep 6 preview. Does the creepiness come from Fukami? Because I can't wait to see him and Futaba actually interacting.
With everything else going on, it's hard to imagine how they could become canon anyway (not that I don't want them to, just it's hard to figure out how they'll get there).
Fumiya? (Too many F names. XD) The creepiness is him and the supreme awkwardness is the parents interacting. It's interesting to see Futaba with her brother, but I want to yell at the screen, "DID YOU FORGET HE'S A MURDERER?!"
Wait, is Fumiya the brother? I'VE BEEN CALLING HIM FUKAMI ALL THIS TIME. LOL EITA I'M SO SORRY.
The siblings' relationship is something I've been dying to see fleshed out ever since Futuba's "my brother tried to kill me" bombshell. It just... adds a whole new layer to everything she says about him, everything she wishes for them.
(Augh, talking about this makes me really really want to watch the raw. XD)
OMG THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS! That drama owns me. Like seriously, I wasn't so invested in a jdrama emotionnaly since Maou. Which says it all tbh. I'm in love with Hikari, I'm in love with Futaba, I'm in love with the dad etc. I regret nothing.
I'm so weary about where the drama goes. It's the one story I can't see where it's heading. Probably to the destruction of my soul or something :p.
Are you watching Don Quixote too? Because it's hilarious and provides such a good balance to me XD. And there's Matsuda Shota's glorious hair XD.
YES YES YES. THIS DRAMA IS AMAZING. *_________* I'm both excited and horribly nervous about where it'll take us next, because like you said, there's no telling.
I'm in love with Hikari, I'm in love with Futaba, I'm in love with the dad etc. I regret nothing.
I love how fucking VISIBLE all the characters are. Even if they aren't important, the parents and siblings and wives aren't forgotten. It really sends home the tragedy of it all - how one murder can cause ripples that affect huge swatches of people only tangentially related to the original event.
HIKARI IS ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITE ACTRESSES FOREVER AND EVER.
I'm not watching Don Quixote, no. Too many dramas already. XD
Six for Soredemo, five for Hanakimi, four for Ouran. Subs are almost all up-to-date (I think Ouran is lagging behind a little, but only by one or two eps).
YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE NOT TO WATCH, GIRL. THEY ARE ALL SO GOOD. *______________*
THIS SHOW IS DEFINITELY ANGST/DRAMA/DRAMA TWIST FOR THE WIN!!!
About your spoiler text: I hope not too! These two deserve some happiness.
Besides the touchy feely scene of the two, I have to give props to Eita's mom. That confession scene when she came back and told them of her decision. That really broke my heart. But she delivered it in a way that she appeared like on the verge of sanity and insanity. Bravo acting!
This show is soo damn freaking AWESOME!!!
I am glad I can share this happiness with someone. :D
ISN'T IT GREAT WHEN THE DRAMA IS AMAZING AND THEN THE FANS ARE ALSO AMAZING. I think I love talking about it just as much as watching it.
IF THE OTP DOESN'T GET A HAPPY ENDING I MIGHT SHOOT SOMEONE.
That monologue was fucking awesome. AWESOME. I remember glancing at the timestamp when it was over and being amazed that it lasted so long and was so emotional yet I was absolutely riveted the entire time. Major, major props to the actress.
AND THEN FUTUBA AND HER SISTER AND THE PHONE CALL. "I just wanted to call your name." MY HEART. ;______;
GAH, THIS DRAMA IS SO GOOD AND I COULD TALK ABOUT IT FOREVER SOMEBODY STOP ME
