Seven eps into IS and I almost don't want to watch anymore, because it's becoming increasingly clear that my OTP isn't the OTP and WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME.

I don't think Haru is obsessed with him (well actually I havent seen ep 6 so maybe i'm wrong) but she is attracted to him. while I dont get WHY, but it is only him so maybe its a fluke? lol. I wish the show would acknowledge that Haru would have had feelings for girls at some point as someone who sees herself as male. She would at least be Bi. I mean its one thing if she had feelings for girls but now suddenly shes into dudes too cause of her hormones or something but the way its treated its as if she never had any sexual or romantic feelings until she met soccer boy. which is so blah and hard to buy!

OMG WORD TO ALL OF THIS. No one cares about your problems soccer boy! I was annoyed when he was hugging on her too and he still BARELY knew her. That is not the japanese gentlemenly thing to do soccer guy! I tried so hard to remember his name but it sleeps my mind. I find Reon's crush on Miwa to be SUPER cute though. I mean obv Miwa only has eyes for Haru but I can see her using Reon as her cover for her lesbian (wait does it even count as lesbian when haru sees herself as a boy? SO CONFUSING) feelings and Reon happily going along with it cause he's a lovesick puppy dog. Honestly I don;t really care if Haru and Miwa dont end up together romantically so long as the drama continues to focus on their relationship the most and she doesnt get stuck with soccer dude, even though I have feeling the latter in inevitable now. ;_; (I still feel amazed looking at fukuda saki and how plain and tomboyish she looks here compared to her hyper girly and evil character in LIFE.)

I don't know when soccer boy started bugging me so much. He used to be sort of blandly okay, but the more time they spend on his ~feelings~ and his ~secret~ I'm just like, CAN WE GO BACK TO THE INTERESTING PEOPLE NOW? If I wanted to watch the adventures of a straight male teenager I could watch ANY OTHER DRAMA EVER. GO BACK TO THE QUASI LESBIANS.

You know what annoys me? No matter what gender Haru decides/settles with, he's clearly bisexual. And yet nooooo one in the drama thinks to suggest it to him, not even his IS mentor lady. God Wolf all this Miwa hate is really grossing me out. The way people really lack compassion, I have no doubt that 90% of the reason for this hate is because miwa identifies as female and is feminine. srsly if she was a hot guy pulling this shit, just see how many "omg my poor woobie!" supporters you'd find here. ugh.

I wouldn't say it's a matter of compassion, but I do wonder if perceptions are only different because they're two actresses instead of a traditional het couple. A few people have said they don't ship them/don't see them as being in love, and yet if Kimura Takuya had been the one cradling Miwa's bloody body while she confessed her darkest secret, you know damn good and well people would've been screeching "OTP!!"

Miwa is a creepy stalker dangerous to Haru, herself and basically everyone she comes across. She is convinced they're meant to be together because Haru just so happens to have a certain physical attribute? She could snap any second and kill Haru ("He can't look at anyone but me!")? She knows exactly what's best for Haru and he really should leave all his decisions in life to her? If she could, she'd creep into his house and watch him sleep at night if she could (you know she would, don't deny it)? She's Edward Cullen with ruffles. (Oh yes I went there.)

Only even worse (!!), because whenever she feels like she doesn't get all the attention she needs (Haru doesn't pick up his phone! Haru doesn't reply to her mails!) she does things like slit her wrists or disappear until Haru comes running after her. She sends Haru's crush's father a letter to make him pressure Haru to leave soccer boy. That's not love, that's creepy beyond belief. I'd gladly take a boring

Well, for starters, Miwa hasn't raped anyone.

As for everything else... you certainly aren't obligated to like her, but I think you're reading things into her behavior that aren't there. She didn't slit her wrists because of Haru. She slit her wrists because she's a lonely fucked-up teenager with this huge secret she doesn't know how to handle. She only figured it out, what, a year ago? And she hasn't had support from anyone. Her parents lied to her and ignored her, her only friends were creepy older guys at a bar. She was so desperate for affection and understanding that she changed schools to meet a stranger on the off-chance they would make a connection through being IS. That isn't psycho, that's just sad.

I definitely don't think she's dangerous. The worst thing she's done is send that letter, and if soccer boy's father wasn't a judgmental prick, that wouldn't have done any harm either.

(I'm not saying it was right, mind, it was a total breach of privacy and my reaction to it was "OH MIWA NO." But dangerous? Hardly
