I really hope they explain the events of the finale, or at least why Toma was smirking in that final shot. (Acceptable answers: because she's a badass, because she has secret powers, because she's the goddamn Batman.) I'd love some answers about Chii too, particularly how he managed to do.... everything he did, but since I don't see him in the trailer I won't hold my breath. Really, if they just touch on the whole evil-empire-Big-Brother-even-the-dog-is-watching-you thing I'll be happy, because I really want this movie to be a continuation of the series, not just a random case. It seems appropriately intense so I remain hopeful.
