You want to see him looking really weird, watch Kamen Rider Den-O and see all the bizarre style changes the poor guy goes through.
Also, have you seen Bloody Monday? He's in it and it's confusing and dark and intense and has beautiful ladies who could snap your face off with one finger.

I remember watching the first few eps during a Miura Haruma phase, but it didn't really leave an impression on me? Should I give it another try?

I wasn't impressed with the first fiew eps the first tie I watched, but it got much better later. DANGEROUS LADIES. CHILDHOOD FRIENDS IN PERIL. BEAUTIFUL BUT PSYCHOTIC TERRORISTS WITH ISSUES.

But I agree, people get older, and it's weird.
Except for Jang Geun Suk - his looks haven't changed for ages. I especially love that he's kept his MSOAN hair and is now touring as basically his character from the show. It's excellent.
