sewing class

i'm about to embark on my first sewing class. i'm nervous. i don't really like new situations with new people when i'm a moron about using a sewing machine. it's only 3 hours.. i'll survive.. i guess. and i'll be fine once i'm in there. just nervous

Thats awesome! I want to take sewing classes as well. Joann Fab is holding one next month. think I better get on that as well. Where are you taking yours? Like you, I need something to obsess about. I do enjoy cooking and I guess I'm pretty obsessed with that. I want so much to take some cooking classes. I would LOVE to go to a culinary school, but I dont think there are any in Milwaukee. I know Chicago and Minneapolis have a couple good ones, but I'm not willing to travel that far for it. Espcecially seeing as I'm not going to be a chef or anything. At least I'm not striving for that at the moment. I do have to say that catering has entered my mind before.

Actually, the culinary school at MATC used to be very highly regarded. My friend Pat went through that program to become a chef.

I think this class is a great idea! Learning from diagrams and manuals is hard - I know you'll pick it up much faster when you can watch someone else work with the sewing machine. I can't wait to see what you make.

And I'm sure they'll let you take a potty break :)

Awww, don't be nervous!! I took 3 jewelery classes over my Christmas vacation and they were a lot of fun!

Yay for finding obsessions! Go for it, girl! I hope you have a wonderful time! :)
