Had my FAA Medical exam today, and it wasn't nearly as big a deal as I thought it might be....  Waiting on the doctor took longer than the physical. And the exam itself was just a quick cursory check of the usual stuff; height, weight, BP, vision, hearing, any meds, any weird med history, $120 please, out the door ( Read more... )

De-icer trucks drenching the plane, snow pack crushing under the tires as the plane wobbles over to the runway. Sounded a bit shady at first but apparently some universities have been doing it for a while; and I like the idea. Supposedly they will sit down with you and help cobble out a degree program for your own liking.

Been a long while since I’ve done any regular exercise....

Since hitting gray-muzzle status, I seemed to have contracted some sort of "Fursuit-15"; a few excess pounds of an annoying fuzzy pudge sticking from my belly.

Since im stuck in Biloxi, MS for several months I occasionally go out for some real food.

So work has decided to stick me in Biloxi, MS for a week-long course, training me for an "additional duty" that I really don't want. Being here reminds me that there are certain amenities at a real Air Force base that I sorely wish we had at Moffett. Like a chow hall where you can stuff your face with decent food for $2.50. Although for lunch today ( Read more... )

The Miata has been operational for two days now with absolutly no issues! I found the smoke I was concerned about was simply a bit of paint burning off the exhaust manifold (yeah, I painted it, duh).
