Priorities... It's funny how it's so difficult at first to sort everything and find out what's important. Yet at the same time, what seems a difficult exercise is really a simple textbook exercise when recovering from the wake of disaster.
You will find your way, dear. You will figure out your path. Humans have done precisely what you are trying to do for years; you will merely be following in their footsteps.
Everything will be fine, you will see. :) Just follow your instincts and do what your heart tells you too. No matter where you go, it will always be the right direction.
Glad to see you posting again; sorry to hear about your hamster.
If there's one thing I've learned through my experiences with the internet and real life it's this: There are times where you simply have to let it go.
This doesn't mean forever, it just means giving yourself a break from certain games or even all games for a while until you can figure out how much time you really have to play on the games that are left. When this happened to me, I droped from playing about thirty active characters on ten games down to six active two semi-active characters on a total of six games. For other people I know, they've left and never found the time or interest to come back.
Balancing real life, social life, and all the other things that are expected of us and gaming is tough. I think that's why a lot of people do end up giving it up after a while. Leaving in anger and cutting off people who do care is probably the worst thing you can do. Been there, done that, lost friends.
Anyway, I'm tired and probably not making much sense...
