Amsterdam Live 26 July 2011 Melkweg

After meeting up in Bochum we set off into the direction of Amsterdam at around 11 a.m. Despite the rain traffic was okay and we actually arrived in Amsterdam at around 1:30 p.m. and tried to find a parking lot. We found one close to Melkweg but after realizing that they wanted 4 Euro/hour and we just had 2 ( Read more... )

Jesus Christ, what's with girls and handing out numbers at Jrock gigs? When do they realise they don't mean fuck all? You get a good spot, you gotta keep it secured. Those are the unwritten rules.
And they smelled too? Good God...x.x

Also, I've heard there were apparently more men than usual? xD

Anyway, despite the extra cost I'm gonna go to Berlin on Wednesday. Definitely writing another report as well. Hope the air conditioning will be good, I think it's gonna be a warm day. The one in Cologne was excellent, haha.

Good to hear that. :)

Yeah, it were 2 girls that really smelled and even those around them complained about it. And I'm really used to a lot (pathology-internship speaking here!)...

Cologne had great air conditioning. True. ^^

oh god, some drivers are just crazy... seems like it's like that everywhere... ;-) So yeah, glad you've been able to be careful...

the thing with the parking lot: I don't know if it didn't cost you more gas to drive around instead of just taking the 4 Euro/hour spot... I don't think I would have had the "energy" to do that if I were you ;-)

I hate such rude fans, too, by the way, but it seems like they are everywhere. In every fandom. It sucks...

Glad to hear at least the concert was okay-ish :)

We calculated 20-25 Euro for gas for each one of us. I gave her 20 additionally after we arrived back home. It's pretty much what I always pay when I visit my family, which also lives 200 km away. Amsterdam was pretty much the same distance.
But yeah...the parking lot prices were way too high! And people complain about 1,50 Euro for 1 hour here. lol It's crazy.

I enjoyed the concert. I ignored those just standing around and partied on. XD

Thanks for posting it! ^^ Um, if you compare the 2 shows you saw, how were they different? I mean, musically, performance-wise, atmosphere-wise etc. And how did G sound? Bc his hoarse voice in that short vid really upset me...

Audience wise I preferred Cologne. They were hyped right from the start. Amsterdam somehow started slow but got really hyped then. Sound-wise it was equally to Cologne, still bass heavy so that the voices were drowned out here and there. :(
And G sounded as good as he did in Cologne. No idea what he has done to his voice afterwards. O.o

LOL @ the smelly number queens xD. Well I don't mind the numbering system itself, but I already discussed a lot with several people about how annoying it is that for some it means even: I'll get there the day BEFORE, take a number and go whereever I want to, SEVERAL hours, my number gives me the right to get in the line's front again. NO. Just no.
Strange what you write about the audience, that some were just standing around. Did you hear any comments after the show?
I'd also be interested in the differences between Cologne and Amsterdam, like mind_cell ;).

No, the guys left pretty quickly after the show, which was quiet confusing since many remained in Cologne and waited for the band. So I didn't hear any comments and my Dutch isn't that good anymore that I'd have been able to understand most of it anyway. lol Just posted the difference in the comment to her. There was really that much difference except for the audience.
