Well, I don't mind whether or not Kurama is gay but I agree that their points are all incredibly flawed.

I don't think that there's anything in the canon that makes Hiei/Kurama *not* canon, but I didn't really ever see it. Kurama himself was a tad androgynous but I felt like the author's point was that demons were extremely different socially from humans, a point that the manga's last arch used as maintext.

Yes, there wasn't anything that didn't make Hiei/Kurama not cannon, which is why Togashi more than likely made the remark to "leave it up to the fans".

This whole entry is a mixture of built of frustration of "Hakusho fans" that will talk about the series like they know what they're talking about... but really, don't. (2)Stupid reasons for a pairing that was never really confirmed/not confirmed. (3)Putting best friends of the same gender together just because of the fact that they're best friends. (4)Bringing back stuff to mind that I was hoping to never have to deal with again.

I met a few fans of the Hiei/Kurama pairing that had pretty decent reasons for liking the pairing, and I don't mind it when there is usually a good reason for liking that pairing... it's just the stupid reasons of "they're best friends therefor are gay" reason or mentality that I have a problem with. .___.

Most likely Kurama is bi, not gay, if they have to stretch it that far, but who cares about technicalities? I won't believe or accept as fact a word they say until Togashi himself tells me that these conjectures are indeed canon.

And, we all know that some fans really do draw their own conclusions and sometimes interpret things in favor of their own biases (to half-ass prove that they're "right").

Anyway, thankfully, I didn't have to put up with these kinds of discussions when I was younger. I was blissfully unaware of "guy-guy love" back then, for the most part. Haha.

I can see him being Bi, but, I agree with you.. unless Togashi himself says that Kurama's gay... I won't believe it.

.____. Hakusho fans, lately have been terrible. They either act like they know more than you (even after just reading the first few volumes of the manga or anime series) or they pull the... Kurama and Hiei are gay thing with silly reasons like from the post or the whole "Best Friends = Lovers" thing.. >__>

I think the forum post really got to me because my best friend and I both had to put up with the same thing... for years.
