Dangers of Myspace

A few weeks ago, I discovered that my high school graduating class had a myspace page. Now, there aren't many people from high school I'm all that interested in contacting, but when I'm super bored I wade around the friends list with a little bit of nostalgia. It's difficult to leave that sort of baggage behind -- the deeper the hurt at the time, the harder it is, I think. So no, you're not pathetic. :) Besides, it doesn't sound like you've been dwelling on whatever this was on a daily basis for all these years.

We're all works in progress. Sometimes, we carry bits and pieces of old hurts around until we're old enough, experienced enough, have a different perspective, whatever, to be able to oke at the old hurt and finally put it to rest.

Hmm, that all sounds so very wise. I think this little piece of hurt may be in its death throes. As I told Brandon last night, it's not so much this person that upsets me, but that he is a huge symbol for a person that *I* was that I don't much care for. That's taking me a little longer to come to terms with.
