Here we go, 2008

My 14 (?) year old cat, Axl Rose, has diabetes. Crap.

Work, however, is going very well. It's giving me a "happy" vibe that makes things like financial troubles and Axl Rose's ailment significantly more bearable.

Also on the list of things that make life more bearable: Brandon, Willow, and my incredible friends.

Thank you for tuning in.

Well, we're about to start giving her insulin 2x a day, and we've switched her food to Inova Evo... I haven't given her a shot yet, though. This cat is kind of famous for being tough ( in 1999 she lost her tail in a pit bull attack - but survived) so I'm a little nervous about poking her a few times a day.

I'll cross a few fingers for you. But. hopefully, she'll hardly even notice. Tigger doesn't even flinch. The needles are so small/sharp that when they're new, I can't even feel them go in.

You could always try distracting her with a little wet food when it's time for a "poke", too.
