Bad news: I've injured my lower back and havn't been into work for a couple of days.

Good news: I had an interview for a UNIX admin position in cambridge yesterday. It went well.

lower back pain is horrible.

Try lying flat on your back on a firm surface (floor is good) with a half-filled hot water bottle under the small of your back (may feel a bit warm in this weather!).
