The 'spikes_kogagirl is guilty' post at stop_plagiarism I mentioned yesterday has been unlocked, clarified and ETA'd. To quote the mod, archylou, who has worked diligently on this:

I... am confused. I copied and pasted a whole chunk of the verdict into the post. I can see it there. Are you saying you can't see *anything* between 'to quote the mod' and '/quote'?

Ah, no. Everything is quoted from the s_p post, just... not as clearly as I'd meant to, obviously. *g*

I woke up to that good (better?) news in my inbox, and had to share.

I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but hopefully that will fade. *hands*

Wow. She admitted guilt after all that desperate "OMG I so didn't copy. I can rewrite. I didn't do it! I think I'll slit my wrists b/c of all of the bad ppl saying bad things about me that so aren't true!" nonsense? Apparently her retaliation was to create her own comm, like, a handful of days after this big mess took place. Weird... lol

I'm glad it's over. Hopefully. And everyone can get back to their regularly scheduled porning.

I just hope she learned from the whole mess. And something beyond 'be sneakier next time - rewrite all the lines!'

When I saw the comm go up I was amused and bemused. I don't expect much to come of it, but even if it becomes popular, I can't see it affecting bloodclaim in the slightest. Membership seems to have stalled in the low twenties for now, so... *shrugs*

Regularly scheduled porning should definitely be the next step on the road to recovery for all of us. *\o/*

*more hugs, just because* Let's hope that the ETA indicates that she now understands what plagiarism is and realises that she did do it, even if it was through ignorance. It's a hard but true fact that ignorance is no defence in law.

She... seems to have accepted that she was in the wrong, but we shall have to wait and see if any real lessons were learned.
