Sadly this isn't the first time she has had to deal with this, people have been very rude to her when she is in the drive thru as well. I think not seeing a person face to face makes them more brazen.

Wow, what a jerk. I'm glad management stepped up and stuck up for your co-worker, I've worked at places where they wouldn't have (ah, customer service jobs).
