Yes, it is a great loss for the fashion world and anybody that either loved his designs or thought of him as a inspiration. Like many giants before him, he too, will be sorely missed. Now would also be a great time to relive the magic of his work and to relive his inspirations. I, myself thought of Alexander McQueen as a huge star, whose style was inmistakable and amazing. Like you, his style was and served a bit of inspiration for me when i was in college, though most of my designs echo more on the first half of the twentith century. But yes, his heels are mighty big to fill, but hopfully he left a right hand man to maintain his magical kingdom that will showcase what everybody fell in love with McQueen in the first place. So R.I.P. Alexander McQueen, your brilliance will be greatly missed.
